Smoking and Online Game

Smoking, of course, is a killer, no doubt about that.

Lives will be lost at times when people pushing too much of their limit of staying up, especially for the purpose of playing online games.

But for those whom would play online games in Australia's internet cafes, it's probably not at all a bad habit for them to pick up smoking.

Apparently after a considerable period of sitting infront of computer and playing online games with total devotion, one faces a much higher odds of sudden death for some medical or biological reasons that I personally don't understand, this is a fact, nevertheless.

To prevent the occurance of sudden death, I think it's a good idea for the online game players to strench their body once awhile. Yet these online game players are extremely devoted that they don't even want to leave their seats when having meals. Then again, there is no law against online game players to have meals inside the internet cafe. On the other hand, smoking inside internet cafe is strictly prohibited here in Australia.

So, for those dedicated online game players in Australia, it might be of their interest to pick up smoking, in this way, while it certainly shortens their life expectancy in a long term, but they will have no choice but walking around or strenching a bit occasionally, thus deducts the possibility of sudden death.

Language

Today I saw a short comment posted on mX [free newspaper] which I personally find it quite uncomfortable. Briefly, the author of that message made a complaint about people not speaking english on train, and he/she is unhappy about the situation where people don't speak english much in Australia.

I doubt the true intention of the author, as he/she simply made a comment without much elaboration...

As I was reading the message, I was also thinking of another rather interesting phenomenon:

In China (and other Asian countries?), Chinese will be amazed by the fact that a white guy could speak fluent Chinese, but none of them will deliver the same amount of amazement by the fact a Chinese could speak fluent English.

However, in Australia, Australians are not amazed by the fact that a Chinese could speak fluent English.

Maybe not every Australian would think in the same way as the above mentioned author, but I am pretty sure that the majority of them don't quite understand the difficulty of learning something academically in another language.

Then again, if Asian students come to Australia in order to study, learning english is naturally one of the purposes. What's the point for them to come here if they always hang out with people from same country all the time and not using english much?

Such a paradox, I am tired now and don't really want to think much about it...

=.="

I was recently being offered a part time job by Danny at his internet cafe as a shopkeeper, it's a weekend night shift, which means I would have to work from 11 P.M. to 8 A.M. the next day morning for Friday night and Saturday night. Frankly speaking, there aren't many things to do during the 9 hours. I remember the days which I would surfing the internet all night long and doing nothing constructive, but somehow time flies and I felt the time wasn't wasted for nothing. Now it's just the otherway round, I get paid for what I used to pay to do--surfing the internet for at least 7 hours in one night, yet I find it almost irritating to start the internet explorer...sigh...

Meanwhile, I am suffering badly from a totally screwed up bio clock. There's an inversion of my bio clock during the weekend due to the nature of my job, that's understandable. However I try to lead a normal life during weekdays as our body is made to work during the day and rest during the night. But, I will receive calls from Danny at times for work on weekdays too, so it happens very often that I would only sleep for 4 hours in one day and then 12 hours another day...hmmm...

Consistence

One day I talked about about relationship with a friend, I said there's a consistence in my attitude that I won't specifically do anything or change any part of my personality for the purpose of winning a girl's heart.

The justification is: No expectation, no disappointment.

If a girl don't have any expectation upon me yet still willing to accept the whole of me, then we both will probably lead a better life.

I have tried it before, of course, did my best to win my first girlfriend's love. One of the accountable reasons for the failure of our relationship is that I wasn't able to be the same person who chased her at the very beginning, I changed back to the normal me after we started dating.

To her disappointment, I became not so romantic, not so considerate and not so willing to spend much time with her, etc...eventually she reached a conclusion that I don't love her as much as I used to be.

My fault, I shouldn't have presented her with an inconsistent image which led her into believing that I could be a good boyfriend.

I am what I am, and I am always showing my true personality. Other than the changes naturally occur to me, I won't make any change just because a person says he or she likes or dislikes certain part of my personality. This is a package deal, you can't really bargain.

Perhaps, I will treat a girl better after she becomes a girlfriend.

Match Maker

My job as an ice breaker and match maker proved to be successful. A considerable amount of progress of the bond between my flatmates and the girls from next door has been made since our last get together. Three pairs are being matched up:

JonMing [Kor] - Pall [Thai]
Keith [Kiwi] - Akane [Jap]
Shin [Kor] - Seiko [Jap]
